| I began making woodcuts prior to any formal printmaking classes.
The process was one that allowed me to work without any special printmaking equipment. I found it to be limiting, however, and
when I had the opportunity to take etching classes at the Pacific Art League, I took it. After taking some classes, I was allowed
to use the equipment and etching press at the Pacific Art League and experiment with my own intaglio ideas. |
